What is the best air filter for my home?

How do I replace my air filter?
Confirm the size of your air filter. Remove plastic wrapping on your new filter and locate the arrows to indicate the direction of air flow. Open your air vent cover, insert the new filter with the arrows facing correctly, then shut air vent cover.
What does MERV mean in air filters?
MERV stands for Minimum Efficiency Reporting Values which reports a filter’s ability to capture microscopic particles ranging from 0.3 and 10 microns (µm). The higher the MERV level, the more efficient it is at filtering microscopic particles.
What is the difference between Nominal Size and Actual Size of Air Filters?
The nominal size is a rounded number to the nearest whole or half inch, (ex: 20 x 20 x 1). The Actual Size is the exact measurement that shows the filter’s actual dimensions (ex: 19.75 x 19.75 x .75). All Air Filters display both sizes.
What quantity of air filters should I buy?
This is dependent on each customers unique air filter requirements. Our selection includes pack sizes that range from 1 to 12 filters. Each filter last up to 3 months depending on various aerosol conditions such as, dust, smoke, and pets.

Love these filters. I live in a Southern state. Right now we have smoke, lots of rain which means mold spores, pollen and I have a dog and two cats. My usual brand was becoming very expensive so I found myself not changing the filter as often, defeating the purpose of a filter. Too restrictive for my HVAC, but good company support
This HEPA filter is very dense and works well for air cleaning, but it was too restrictive for my heat pump/AC system. After installing it, my unit would start and then immediately shut off, which went away when I switched back to my old standard filter. If your HVAC system isn’t designed for high-MERV or thick HEPA filters, this one could block too much airflow and put stress on your equipment. However, the seller was great and offered a full refund or an exchange for a less occlusive option.
