If you’re looking for a pool cleaning robot that blends cutting-edge technology with effortless performance, the **Aiper S1 Scuba 2025** is a very budget friendly choice. Whether it’s fine sand, leaves, algae, or even small pebbles, the S1 Scuba handles it all.- **Brush System:** Rotating scrubbers loosen stubborn grime.- **Filtration:** The ultra-fine mesh filter traps particles down to microns.- **Wall Climbing:** Yes, it climbs walls and scrubs the waterline—something many robots struggle with.📱 Intuitive App ControlThe companion app is sleek and user-friendly. Great auto pool cleaner
At my age, I was tossing around the idea of a pool cleaner because I was getting tired of taking out and hooking up the vac hose, etc. I looked at a few online and decided on this one. Reading the reviews was convincing. It was costly when I was initially looking at them, but I received an email from Amazon letting me know that there was a Labor Day sale on this. It’s one of the best investments I have made. I am amazed at how it climbs the walls and scrubs the waterline up to the coping. It’s all programmable for walls., floor, etc. The cleaning it does is amazing. It also runs longer than the 180 minutes. Cleaning the filter is easy. I highly recommend this unit.

Easy to use right out of the box, does an excellent job!
I have an inground 20 x 40 oval concrete pool 3 to 10 feet deep with one unique cutout near the shallow end steps. Arrived yesterday afternoon, took a quick look at the manual. It charged quickly, most likely it had a partial charge. I didn’t install the app yet. I just pushed the power button and it went to AUTO mode which will vac the floor and walls. I remembered to take out the ultra fine filter since it said that could slow it down. It immediately went to work. Amazing to see how it climbs the walls and navigates overall. I let it run overnight since it said it would stop when it got to low battery. I fished it out with the supplied hook this morning. Sharing photos to show what a great job it did. It filled it’s basket as well as if I manually vac’d into my pump basket. So overall initial impressions are awesome. This should handle all the routine vacuuming. I’m thinking I will only need to manually vac when I get heavy leaves in the Fall.

Works only on non inclined surfaces.
The Aiper SC1 LOSES TRACTION ON MY INCLINED POOL SURFACE AND STAYS IN THE DEEP END. WISH I WAS TOLD ABOUT THIS PROBLEM.

Problems at first but fantastic customer service
Frequently gets a flashing red light. I take it out of the pool, turn it off and on and check for obstructions. Repeat 3 or 4 times before it actually runs. Gets stuck on the steps. When it works it does a decent job but I have to check on it frequently. If it doesn’t get everything in one pass I have to wait for it to recharge and run again. Going back to corded pool robots. Would t recommend.UPDATE: after a few more times trying get this to work I feel that it is useless. Will be requesting a refund. Absolute garbageAnother update: after leaving this review, Aiper reached out to me (I didn’t initiate contact) and sent me a new, slightly better model. I have only used it 4 or 5 times but so far it cleans pretty well and hasn’t gotten stuck. It also charges in 2 or 3 hours, which is great. I am wondering if the first one was just a defective unit, based on how much more smoothly this new one performs. So between their customer service (not only sending the robot but they have been very polite and helpful) I’ve decided to improve my rating. Because of the first one not working well I feel it wouldn’t be accurate to give 5 stars but since they went so far out of their way to help me I feel like 4 stars is appropriate.TLDR: great customer service. Replaced my first robot with a better model that works great.

    Gets the fine debris!
Have tried three different robotic in-ground pool vacs and this is definitely the best so far. The main reason the others didn’t work out is because they couldn’t filter the very fine particles that this one does. After using the others, I would still have to use the traditional vacuum so what’s the point??? Others have commented that it gets hung up, but I haven’t experienced this at all. Other negative comments about its “random” path, but it completely cleans my pool each time it goes in the water. I have a 32’ x 16’ in ground pool with steps at one end (3.5’ deep)and ladder at the other (8’ deep) with sloped sides in the deep end. This guy gets everything. My wife has named it “Scuba Steve”!

Up until now, I have cleaned my inground pool either the old fashioned way – either by using the brush on the end of the long hose, or using a Creeper type device attached to a long hose. There was always a set up, working, and putting away components. This is my first experience with an automated cordless cleaner. While it took a little longer to ship (not unreasonable), it came extremely well packaged – 3 boxes that protected it well during its shipping adventure from China. The instructions were clear and easy to understand. Operation is equally clear. Charge the battery, turn it on, select which of the 4 programs you want, then drop it in your pool. I’ve only needed two of the programs so far – the automatic one (default) – pool floor and walls, or the Floor only. It’s almost magical watching this gizmo climb the straight walls of your pool just above the water line, with the scouring brush getting rid of the buildup. According to the instructions, it maps out your pool. This was hard to really determine, but it did a better job at reaching most of the pool area.I have a kidney shaped inground pool with a deep end. Sometimes it appeared as if the slope from the deep to the shallow end of the pool confused it a bit.The battery lasted well over 2 hours in my test. The LED indicator was showing yellow, which means I still had some in reserve (it hadn’t turned red yet). The charging port is a bit wonky. The rubber plug covers the charging terminals and you are warned to ensure that there is no water in there before charging. On my first couple of tests, there was water in this area, but I found if I pressed the rubber plug firmly there was no water in the charging area. Something to watch out for.It comes packaged with a handy hook that fits on the end of a standard pool pole. Make sure that it is firmly attached. It came off one time as I was lifing the bot out of the pool. When my grandkids saw it in action, the first thing they said is “What are you going to name it?” The movements underwater is almost creature like and actually fun to watch (okay, I need a life). The cleaner appears well constructed. It’s easy to rinse out the collection basket with a hose. It’s amazing how much stuff it picked up during my first few uses. This has certainly removed the burden out of regularly vaccuming the pool.Highly recommended.

I’m very impressed with the Aiper Scuba S1. It’s small and lightweight for it’s size, yet has a very solid build quality and one of the best filtration baskets I’ve seen on any pool cleaner robot. The basket has 2 layers, the second being an ultrafine washable liner. You can choose to use it, or leave it off and only pickup medium to large debris like leaves with the main mesh filter basket. This robot cleans the bottom and the sides of your pool. It moves quite quickly for it’s size and has a good amount of suction, not much left behind after a single pass. There are 4 modes accessible with the power button on the front: bottom only, side only, bottom + sides, and a periodic cleaning mode where the robot only cleans ever few days and stays submerged until the battery dies or the filter is full. There is the Aiper app which is pretty easy to pair and use. It gives you the exact battery left on the robot, and you can choose modes from the app. You will need an account to use the app.I’m terms of what sets this apart from other pool robots of this size: the robot is quick, it navigates exceptionally well for this price point, and it has good range and battery life for medium size pools (1600sqft). The 150mins seems to be as advertised, that’s with a mix of wall and bottom cleaning I was able to get similar. The only downsides to this robot, compared to larger and much more expensive ones: the brushes are not as large so it takes a bit longer to clean, less numerous brushes (single row vs double row), and the way in which it cleans walls is less sophisticated. This robot starts at the bottom, goes up the wall in a straight line, returns to the starting point, and then moves over and begins again. It’s a slow pattern. Larger and much more expensive robots (like the flagship Aiper robot) have more suction and are able to drive sideways on the wall in an N pattern, something this one can’t do.Overall it’s a fantastic pool cleaning robot. It gets the job done. It has ample battery life. And it does everything you could want in a pool robot at a very competitive price. This is perfect for inground and out of ground pools.

I’m really happy with this pool cleaner so far. I dropped it in the pool soon after unboxing and it’s been doing a reasonably good job of keeping my pool clean. The basket’s always got plenty of leaves, bugs, and other junk in it.It runs for around two-ish hours on a full charge, which is enough to cover my pool. This is my first wireless cleaner — I’ve only used the old-school cleaners that hook up to the pool’s pump system, and those hoses are always a pain, particularly when the kids are in the pool. So, having a wireless cleaner is a nice upgrade. It’s only been a few weeks, but I’m pleased so far. I’m curious to see how it holds up long-term.

It’s a robot. For your pool. I mean… how cool is that? We’ve got one of those little robot vacuums that zips around the house picking up dust, and every time I watch it do its thing, I find myself wishing there was something like that for the pool. And, turns out—there is!We were using one of those basic pool vacuums before—the kind that just bounces around randomly and eventually cleans most of the bottom. It worked, but let’s be honest, it wasn’t exactly high-tech. This one though? Way better. After a full charge, we dropped it into the pool and it immediately sank to the bottom and got to work. But instead of wandering aimlessly, it actually scanned the shape of the pool first and then started cleaning in a pattern. That alone was impressive. Once it had the floor done, it climbed the walls (yep, it does that!) and even gave the waterline a good scrub.Using it is ridiculously simple—just one button. Press it to turn it on, and tap it again to switch between cleaning modes: floor only, floor + walls, or the whole shebang. There’s even an eco mode where it just cleans every few days over the course of a week. Set it and forget it.Cleanup’s not a big deal either. You just pop the lid open and pull out the handy basket, rinse it out, and put it back in. Charging is just as easy—pull the little rubber cap on the back and plug it in.Honestly, it’s been great. Takes a chore off the list and keeps the pool looking fresh without much effort from me. Total win.

I’ve been using the Super Scuba S1 for a few weeks now, and overall it’s been a helpful addition to my pool routine. The setup was straightforward—just plug it in, drop it in the water, and it gets to work. I was genuinely impressed by how quiet it is compared to other models I’ve tried. It doesn’t disrupt the peace of the backyard, which is a nice bonus.Performance-wise, it does a solid job on both the floor and walls. It picks up most leaves, sand, and finer debris pretty consistently. The filter basket is easy to remove and rinse out, which makes maintenance low-effort. I also appreciate the lightweight design—it’s not a struggle to lift out of the pool. That said, there are a few things to be aware of. The app connectivity can be a little temperamental. Sometimes it doesn’t connect right away, or the cleaner doesn’t follow commands perfectly. It’s not a dealbreaker, but it could use some refinement. Also, while it climbs the walls well most of the time, it occasionally misses spots around the waterline or gets stuck for a bit before correcting itself. The cord can also get slightly twisted, even though it’s designed to be tangle-free. It’s minor, but still something to keep an eye on during longer cleaning cycles.Overall, the Super Scuba S1 is a capable, user-friendly pool cleaner that takes a lot of the manual work off your plate. It’s not perfect, especially on the tech side, but for regular cleaning, it does a dependable job.
